Back Online
Hi all, we have moved the VM forum to new servers and for now are using the .co.uk domain.
There was a slight problem and I have only managed to restore data from the 16-07-2010...
It is a shame to loose this data, but It might be re-storable as I have a newer database that's a little broken.... but im still too noob with mysql databases...
For now we are back up, ISH.... I will have a look at broken things 2moz like the shoutbox, portal, galery, but now its late and I need sleep.

Impressive, Some... Didn't expect you'd pull it off this quick.
If I remember correctly we had 33233 posts plus a few, let's keep it at 33240. So that means we're missing about 20 posts, mostly the ones about mutators which wasn't all that interesting anyway.
Thanks!

For the portal.php, you should check the path, and if
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); is in config.php, remove that line, i added it yesterday to disable all addons/plugins.

You may consider updating the vbulletin-board to the recent version too.
If money is needed to buy a license, let me know. Paypal injection imminent

Gj on the quick recovery Some (and Beamer too I think).
Heretic: its just a script kiddy that does stuff like this. Hacking a website is in essence not that hard. But its illegal by law and websites quickly recover from it, so its also kinda useless.

Flagfox showed me that the hacker redirected to a server in Canada. Damn, I should have taken a look at the WhoIs at that point, even though it wouldn't have helped much.

I've set it currently at version 3.6.7 PL1, current license doesn't go further than 3.6.7, atm only patch levels can be installed.
I wouldn't go for vBulletin 4, I deployed and tweaked it on a few sites and it isn't as robust as vB 3.x, with alot of bugs/leaks. 4.0 has been developed by a whole different team too because vBulletin has been taken over by the company Internet Brands and i must say, the older team delivered better software. If you really want to spent money for a better board, atm you should look at the Invision board.
