As I am sure you all know, running the server costs money, and I will always do my best to keep it running, no matter what, but to help with this a little I have set up a means of donating! Every little helps no matter how small!

If you have donated, please leave your "in game" name, and you will be thanked here!

I didn't want to post this really, but as I'm sure you all know servers cost money, bloody loads of money lol...

So here is a quick run down of what we actually have running on our servers, and what needs paying for.


VPS (virtual private server) costs about £30 per month.
What we get...

1000 GB Bandwidth usage
100 Mbps Link
20 GB HD space
5 IP addresses

Hosting...

• www.pr-ut.co.uk
• www.themla.co.uk
• www.somemate.co.uk > this hosts the player GUID database
• Map Redirect for players to download a map superfast when the servers change maps etc
• http://www.somemate.co.uk/vmvctf/ > Stats page that failed
• http://www.somemate.co.uk/chat/ > Full Chat logs from IRC updated in real time.
• The 50 Slot Team Speak 3 Server > thinking about renting out a room or two on this and boosting it to 100 slots
• Plesk > This I use to configure the web hosting and databases etc.

Game Servers...

About £35 per month for our super fantastic lag free (mostly) UK VCTF Server!
20 Slots, 6 Spec Slots, 3 Secret reserved slots for VM members and possibly people who want to bribe me

Private Server > £63 Per Year, 20 Slots of passworded goodness!


So, as you can see per month I'm paying around £65 to keep all this up and running, or just short of 80 euros at the current exchange rate.

The servers wont be going anywhere soon, and in the past I have had some fantastic donations. But if you do have a spare 10 quid/ 5 quid, as a one off that you feel is worth all the fun times here, then click that donate via pay pal button!
