Friend of Deltas, new to the whole CTF thing but its starting to look like some potential fun already.

Im not sure whats going on with this map i made ya, I gave the latest version to delta so he can start on the skin work, but if ur gonna host a test map it shud be this one. The one still runnin on ur B server is something Delta rushed me into giving to him so we could have a quick test run. The triggers are all wrong and I think its continuing existance is an insult :D

There ya go. All working.. At least as far as i know. Im sure some hard core test runs will reveal further bugs and problems tho

Hehe.. ye ok I will come up with a name for it. U will know as soon as I do.

About the work i need to do on the map, firstly I feel it needs some rain going on outside.. I think that would add to the mood. Up to u lot at the end of the day, just a suggestion for the final product. Also this map is not optimized. This is mainly because it doesnt seem to need it. However, if people have low framerates on this map then let me know and i can sort it.

Thanx for the comments on the map ice :) Makes it all worth it.

in lockdown what exactly "locked down" i couldnt find anything impeding me also i didnt see any indication (other than it saying im in lockdown) of actually being in lockdown, unless something got messed up with my files when i tried to play it.

And is there supposed to be a crevase behind bases outside by cylinder?

and rain outside would work nicely with the atmosphere!

Well that means u were playing on blue, and it will have said blue base is locking down.. cant remember the wording exactly, however for u to do this u would have been in the red base at the time, so ur not gonna feel anything too major ur self no. Until u go back to blue and have another look. (this is all assuming that u tried this on the version i am sharing above and not the one on the server).. then again ur talking about messin up files so i suppose u must be:o Sorry but i didnt sleep last night and i feel abit drippy and confused :D

hmm crevase.. ye i think i know what u mean.. forgot to fill that in. I will put it on the fix list.

anywayz--the tank the red base gets after "releasing lockdown" is easily attainable while not in "red lockdown/upgrade....mode" simply by running the manta opposite of it into the tanks cage and driving the tank out, or the tank could just point its barrel through the wall and shoot randomly.

anothier mini-glitch i found was using manta to go into the sentry turret box of blue base (something you probably wouldnt get off in game) and from there use manta and jump then eject through the ceiling onto the floor above it...or kill the turret....which i found respawnd 20 seconds later....

omg.. how embarrasing :D I just cant belive this wasnt noticed earlier.. Thing is, movers will not block vehicles. Simple as. Nothing i can do to make them. But where theres a will theres a way, and I found one. I made the Tank garage and the sentinel box plus the little supplie huts block zones for vehicles other than the tank (supplie huts will blok tank too). Of course this will apply even when the doors are open but personally im not gonna worry bout that. Its only a noticable inperfection for 60 secounds at a time anyway :)

(Edit: I will also see if i can get a working block zone for tank shells at the garage door, so if u try being clever with the mover loop hole u'll probably end up blowin ur own ass off :D)
(Edit2: Well.. With the tank shooting through door, what i can do is make it so the shots simply dont work. Projectile limiter on the door at the height of the tank barrel.)

Crevases sorted too.. Good bug hunting man ;) kep em coming.

Found another bug. The mini-turrett on top of blue base is almost unusable, u can`t see anything when sitting in there.

Now this one is weirding me out now.. i had a test run on this map with my bro and he was sitting in the cannon saying he cant see shit, yet when i sit in it i see what i shud see. u see the ground infront of u, and the foof ahead to some extent. its meant to be so u dont have a clear view of the whole roof. So when people approach from the other side they gradually appear head first in the horizon. this means they can step back out of the gunners site too and plan their approach better.

But now im thinking: Is it more than that? do u mean that while sitting in the cannon there is some obstruction right infron of u? maybe take a screenie of what u see from the cannon and then i will know if its right or not.

Also i am a bit scared about that u can shoot from 1st lvl of one base straight to the other base. Problem is, there are spawn-points in the 1st lvl of the bases, so u sureley will get a lot of spawn-raping.

Maybe.. but blues dont have rifles on that level and I think with the game in full swing it will be easier said than done. We will find out with a proper test game. Untill then im not too worried about that one.

if anyone get one of the rilfes they will definately spawn kill, only solution i can see to that though is put a thin wall in the middle, making them unable to see you and make it only head high so you can still shoot flak or something over it and still jump over is but they cant spawn rape

the wall should be in the center where the hole to go underground is, and as tall as the hole and far enough to sides to line up with sides of your base

Well aint that a kick in the bollocs.. So like i suspected this is a weird one that seems to affect only some players. That dont happen to me and so far only 2 people have had this issue in total. (or only 2 have mentioned it).

Beta 2 almost ready. I have all kinds of stuff to do tho so i dont have time to get it polished up just yet. Will be uploading it soonish tho.

this is no 3rd person its the same as in the pic below, i just went down 1mm with the crosshair.

hmm.. no im pretty sure ur in third person. maybe im wrong, but just for shits n' giggles, hit F4 and see if it solves the problem.

Ok peeps, Beta 2 is available for DL. if u had the previous version the only files u will need to replace are Textures and map. I havent put the rain in on this one yet, best off being the last thing that goes in for technical reasons.

Maybe u can add a redeemer in the duct of the elevator in the middle of the map (kinda secret room , make it a bit tricky to reach).

I found another bug. Blue base-> elevator on the right of the flag has no floor under it, u can fall into nothingness if the elvator is on its way up to the 1st lvl.
N1 integration of our logo , maybe u can add some white underground (glowing?) under it to add a bit more contrast to the logo.
Maybe logo on the flags and the flags and the flags ...? omg im so barefaced, but this will be a great map !!!1111eleven :D :D :D :D :D

I suggest making Dannyboy VM-Member of Honor !!!

Ye the mover textures are the same as before, I will re-make the doors but for this release i just couldnt be arsed :D Ye i was trying to think of a good deemer spot, i think ur onto something there ;)

The hole in the floor.. oh ye. I knew full well that was there and i just totally forgot to fix it :confused:

I played my first match on the map, blue won 6 - 2 I think, I was on red ofc, but I had a n00b team, like always, so :p Well I like the map, only thing I don't like is the liftjumps, I always end up at the bottom (I get stucked on the top often), but otherwise, well done, seems to be the 1st good map after years :)

EDIT: both sides should get an LG imo, cuz sniper is MUCH worse, hehe.

hehe.. more lift problems :) im asuming u mean the lift that leads to the roof in red base. iv never had a problem with that one myself tho. just keep ur nose poined at blue base dont look up, and when the lift moves jump twice.. will take u to the roof every time.

when coming down its all about falling down the shaft and walldodging at the right moment.

Ye believe em I know how to do a liftjump and a walldodge =]] I mean I get stucked often when I jump out from the curved thing at top (dno it in english \o/), it's liek this:

Ye thats a weird one indeed. I must have jumped that one 50 times at least and have never fell back. It only happened to me once when i tried looking up while i jumped.
