I say it is okey for spiders in your own base but when you put them near enemy spawns and in the enemies base it's really ****ing annoying, or using them in normal combat to get the opponent without aiming like i've seen some retarded dipshits doing.
Guess which one i voted for :p

For defense, put some near the flag or something, mantaruns can easily dodge them, or when you have the flag, it could be useful for extra backup at places where you want to hide.

spider spawnkilling is out of order, just as any purpose spawnkilling is, with the tank in shoe box it cant always be helped :-D
As long as there isn't some seriously retarded stuf going on, should we really be telling people how to play, not all are as experienced as us and they dont always know its not the acepted thing to do!
I was kicked from a server once for a mistake, and it pissed me off big time, but that was a long time ago when i wasn't so up on gameplay.
An example last nite was a dude trying to put a scorp in a lift in binary, perhaps he just wanted to know if he could drive the "high" way! ive put stuf on the lifts in redrooms b 4 and they go flying! :-D

Yeah, but redrooms makes sense... because if you can get the palladin on it, you can drive with it on the flag, the flag is stuck in a corner, so, the palladins shield can cover the rest very easily...

In any normal map, spawnkilling sux, but I just can't help it, but I like to do it in tankspam xD I don't know why a lot of people can't use that ion tank properly, but if I'm in it and if I'm able to first destroy their ion tank, I'll get wicked sick in half a minute xD You can hear like 20 holy shits xD

PS: I added a new option, ban the spiderwhoring spawnkillers =)

I say spiders are for anything except spawn killing and one on one combat, you can stick 'em in enemy base like near their deemer spawn or something cuz that way you only kill newbs that can't see them lol :P and they deserve to be killed :D but to be honest i don't understand why people do use them in one on one combat I mean i could kill someone in like 10 seconds easy with a lightning sniper and shock, spiders just seem a bit too much effort and arn't that effective... plus they're pretty easy to get away form in a fight, just dodge a bit :)

Then that part of UT sucks :/ Where the developers went wrong: allowing noobs to use spiders to kill good players then autotaunting them :/
And ive seen that guy in binary but all he does is block the lift for any who actually want to use it :/
Also somemate i totally disagree with you there, even when i was totally new to the game i Never under any circumstances used spiders, they are cowardly, i can understand in defense but in an enemies base, such as egyptian war, whenever i play that the inside of my base always seems to get littered with enemy spider noobs.
If you imagine it: You just spawned outside your base in Egyptian, you go inside to get the first weapon available: Flak, and you are ambushed by 8 spiders just sitting there next to your flag, now try fighting all 8 off at the same time with an assault rifle or if u managed to get it a flak :/
Ban no, but at least give them a lesson on how to play properly and not like a noob who always uses spiders and no other bloody weapon.
Most of the spider whore noobs are arrogant aswell, you get killed by their spider, u see the text along the bottom "haha u suck bitch", when u kill them and tell them to stop using spiders so much they have a go at u how they "Have the best score" by spiderwhoring and not playing the game properly.
tbh i hope to hell that Spiders aren't included in UT3.

hey, yeah, i do see ur point wormz, im not sure what a fair diplomatic resolution would be.
if a spider noob whore asshole wants to put spiders in our base, ok, but if he then says that the person he killed with them sucks coz they have a high score from spider noobing then every1 can see that its not always the highest score that = best player, making the spider noob look like an ass.
sometimes when playing egyption war i just jump into the spiders making room for others to follow, take the flag and score.
giving me -1 and the team another flag cap!
I know u will always hate the spiders etc, but always going on at people in a server about it will only make people think u cant handle the spider noobs, and dude, i know u r better than that. im not havin a go, jus putting my side accross :-D

I'd say, a mutator that acts like killing spree... But then "Spider Whore", when you do for example, 5 kills with it, but triggered like combo whore is or flak monkey... (=>number isn't reset when the spider user dies)

I don't know if this exists though, but I do know Nova made that manta assist mutator, so maybe we can ask him how we can make this mutator :p

It's not a weapon flaw, it's a map design flaw. Spiders don't belong in vctf maps that have teleporters, or teleporters don't belong in vctf maps with spiders.

thats what rblood said. a spider noob mutator could be very funny though, but it may have the reverse effect as people may try and spider noob just to see what happens to them, and watch their name change or whatever.

Kill the spiders if you don't want to get killed. And you can set your taunt settings in the audio menu: you can disable hearing autotaunts.

Spiders can here be used to distract the enemies and make it hard for them to chase the FC. Also, when their base is littered with spiders, why not throw some of your in so they can kill the defender who layed down the spiders, thus destroying them?

If enemy spiders are littered on the flag, then your defense is where the problem lies, not the spiders. See it like mantaruns: it shows a disturbed balance more significantly.

hmm nova, i know what u are getting at, and i can understand the FC suing them, but they are still annoying, especially if you dont have many weapons..ever tried taking out 8 spiders right next to u with lg?
With the arrogant part, thats what i meant, as in the people who use spiders are arrogant, not ppl who use spiders become arrogant.
