Edit your user ini file

shield jump

Aliases[36]=(Command="SwitchWeapon 1 | Button bFire | OnRelease Jump | onrelease switchtolastweapon",Alias="Hammer")

ctrl=Hammer

you can use what ever key you want.

this one switches to your shield then on release switches back to best weapon

Mouse5=SwitchWeapon 1|AltFire|OnRelease SwitchToLastWeapon

this one switches to alt link then on release goes back to best weapon handy for powering up vehicles

Mouse4=SwitchWeapon 5|AltFire|OnRelease SwitchToLastWeapon

Why not just bind all weapons on separate keys.

Personally, my config is:

2 - assault rifle
0 - super weapons
w - shock
r - flak
x - bio
c - rocket
mwheelup and 4 - minigun
mwheeldown and 3 - pulse rifle (link gun)
mouse3 - shield gun
ALT - xlock
CTRL - best weapon ; so if I had sniper, I press ctrl even though I havent bind for it. The only thing that I should change weapon priorities (est sniper/lighting rifles higher priority than 'demeer)

e,s,d,f - movement keys ;)

With such config you can fast select required weapon without surfing throught all guns (mousewheel) and there is no need of last weapon.

imho

I have several of my weapons bound to keys, here is my config:

1,2,3,4 are all within reach so shield assault bio and shock I find dont need a hotkey.

W, S, Q, E - movement keys

A - Minigun
D - Sniper/Lightning Gun
X - Flak Cannon
Z - Rocket launcher

This is my usual set up there are a few other hotkeys but I'm tired and its hard to think of them

I just w, a, s and d for movement and q for rockets and e for sniper

then i use my two special mouse buttons on the side of my mouse for shock and flak :D

Basically with the flag in my base with 199 health, almost 150 shield. Wanted to hit Backslash ("Get our flag back!") but instead hit BackSpace (suicide). :( They got the point.

Sorry for re-hashing an old thread, but i'm having problems with these binds...

the first bind worked for a day or 2, but now when i try to use it i have to click on the bound button again to switch weapons back!?! This seems to be the case with the other bind too...

Any idea why that would happen?

I've checked all spellings etc.. The binds were copy/pasted from the forum, so no idea why they won't work properly!?!

Cheers

tbh mate i aint got a clue!
check the binds off-line, sometimes i think ...i could be way off here...that anti-tcc can prevent this. but like i said this might be a load of crap :-)
Good luck

I feel even more stupid now, but what's anti-tcc!?! :redface: :D

Binds off-line are the same, so im stumped.

Cheers anyway. ;)

Ah okay, cheers for that.

It's wierd that the binds worked at first, but just stopped!?! Oh well, i guess pressing the button twice won't kill me, still better than scrolling through the weapons lol!
