Hi all,

I had a thought about the team balance on the VCTF server this morning... when a new player joins it will sometimes switch an existing player to balance the teams. Seems a bit odd when that player's been working hard for one team half the game to suddenly have to play the other way ... especialy if he/she knows where the fc is. Would be much better to switch the player who's just joined.

I reckon it could be done by whenever a teamswitch is needed, choosing the player with the shortest time in the game. What do you think?


(I have some coding experience so might be able to take this on myself if needed)

I thought that UAdmin switched players who have been on one team for the shortest amount of time.

Hmm, odd. You might be right. It didn't seem to be doing that this morning though. It seemed to be switching when new players joined rather than when they quit. (When players quit of course someone must be teamswitched to balance)

I'll stfu unless I see it definitely happen :-) (I was half asleep this morning!)

Dëû$«èX» you'll see me on the VCTF server as HappyCamper.uk or if I'm having a bad day, CrappyHamper.uk and yeah soundblaster15 I used to love camping but all the sniper servers went away or changed to run n gun :-(

hi happycamper, yeah its hard to get the team balance perfect, if people are active in trying to make teams good then thats mostly the best way :-D enjoy"!
