Greetings,

I am more of an ONS player but sometimes I enjoy a good VCTF match. Recently, {DUB}VARDY posted, on the forum of the server I play most often on, a message about the MCM mondays.
I am clanless but I'll be happy to join sometimes if you are in need for a freelance player (substitute or whatever). Sadly, I can't plan my time constraints and therefore can't commit fully to anything.

After asking {DUB}VARDY he suggested I let you know me before trying to enter those MCM mondays. I'll try to join a few games this week-end so that you can have an idea of my playing style. I did play a few enjoyable games on your server two weeks ago (stats ID 960190 if you want to check). Spent 10 days without being able to play UT2004 since then :(. Maybe some of you remember seeing me.

Please note that by saying freelance, I don't mean playing solo. Even if I probably won't reach the same level of team tactics and manta driving skills for those manta flag runs I believe you'll receive some good support from me (although if I happen to do some mistakes, don't hesitate, politely of course, warning me about it).

You sound like a nice guy. Have never seen you play, but I'm guessing you'll be good enough to join the MCM. ;) And personality is an important part too, we just don't want any ubernewbs.

I'm not sure for the black. FF was a bit messy when I posted the message so maybe it did something funny with the font colour. I'll look at the result once I submit this post.


Well, I did my share of mistakes when I was 'young'. Especially it took a few times to grasp that some people could be willing to stay in a HB rear turret (to snipe) and not, as I thought at the beginning, that they had been left there by the driver and they were just waiting for another driver...

Now, when I am sniping and that some rookies take the HB to a suicide run on a node, I try to remember when I did the same kind of things.

PS: just edited my first post to switch the black to some more readable colour.

Well, it is true that on ONS we have different playing habits and it takes a a bit of time to adapt to another playing style.
When figthing in ONS players who played a lot of DM/TAM/Freon, 1vs1 with them is usually in their favour. But then, there is always a way to pancake them or something like that.:wink:

I prefer spending my evenings playing ONS since that's the usual moment when you can get some 32-player action.

Please note, I'l not trying to enter the clan. I'm just looking into an opportunity to play with some good VCTF players, learning from them and hopefully providing some good support.

can't we TRAIN on tam or DM or TDM cuz you'll need it for VCTF . VCTF is not only with vehicles , you have to shoot to so i sugeust( or some thing like that) that we train on TAM DM TDM or Freon :p

I'm up for it :p I'm starting to like TAM/Freon more and more nowadays. :D

Well I was going to do "training" with anyone who wanted it, but then peddys server went down, and my "unique" style of training (which I learned from Matey) can be used on anyone, skilled-unskilled.
I like to play tam, but don't like to play on servers like core, because usually its just one or two fucking amazing players who does everything, and make each round last about 5 minutes, so it gets really annoying watching them. I really like playing tam with the dubs though, they're good, but not perfect.

Anyway, there are some skilled onslaught players, but onslaught is sadly dominated by the casual players who only have the demo. There was a good server a while ago, called zipcity, but that went down for a month and none of the good players from there ever came back.

K, no problem, my "training" did consist of spamming whatever weapon you thought you were weak at in a 1 on 1 where we both have ridiculously high health. Anyway, I'll spec you sometime, see what mistakes you're making and tell you via xfire.

I still prefer playing ONS but I also enjoy VCTF therefore my trying to get a bit deeper into the VCTF community.

I can't commit enough time regularly to join a clan anyway :/.
Good example: as I said earlier, I wanted to join a few games this week-end but except for a quick in-game join in Basically on Friday evening, I could not play online on Saturday and Sunday (family stuff...).

At least, the 10-odd minutes I played were quite interesting, even though I prefer open air maps to close space maps.

I'll be coming for some more. Thx for the gg to those in that match.

sorry but i wan't there either i was joining a CSS clan ( DgE ) but i still wanna join VM and to ICEMAT nice idea to set up a pass when we are training :p
