Hey guys/girls.. ive got a problem... -.-

I just bought a new TFT, 22" widescreen because my old one is "damage"
I thought it would be cool to play on widescreen with high solution, but now my UT-Screen looks like a Lego-World

Like the window in the corner where u can see your teammates... its so fucking big. Or when i press F2 to read chatlog... Fonts are fucking big too... :(
I allready play on the highes solution 1680x1050
Everything looks so big now... Even when im in third person, my ass looks like a tankship -.-

change field of view ( fov) in settings->player to a lower value.

i have the same problem with my notebook on 1440 x 900...
edited: ill try iceys solution :-D

@ lane, hm... ive change it, but it just looks like before

@ice, ive change this too, but change it to a lower value, just makes things bigger.... :(

Sorry Speedy, made a mistake: U have to increase fov to 100 !

Btw u lazy fuck, google: ut2004 widescreen and click on first result:

Run the game once, and open the ut2004.ini file in a text editor, and find the following lines:
FullscreenViewportX=
FullscreenViewportY=

Set these to your desired resolution. On a Dell 2005FPW, this would be 1680 and 1050.
Now open the file user.ini in a text editor, and find the following lines:
DesiredFOV=
DefaultFOV=

Set these to 100 (default is 90 with a 4:3 resolution)
This solution should work on most games based on the Unreal Tournament engines. The file names may be different, but the strings should always be the same.

Have u changed the setting to 1680 x 1050 , in game, not just windows, is doesn't look like u have....but, that might be because ive scaled my hud :-)
Im on 22 inch same rez :-)

ye i did change the rez ingame :) but now ive change the HudScale too and it works!!! the only problem i have is... where can i find the "theFontSize" ?
